Yi Guo

Hello! I’m a Staff Machine Learning Scientist at PayPal, where I research and build agentic AI systems for data intelligence and the software development lifecycle. I received my Ph.D. from the iDVX Lab at Tongji University, advised by Prof. Nan Cao.

My research focuses on making AI agents more knowledgeable, reliable, and effective in real-world systems. I study how agents reason with domain and business knowledge, how their capabilities can be evaluated and optimized, and how harness engineering can turn foundation models into dependable agents for complex data and software workflows.
